It’s a crappy day out there today, rainy, wet, did I mention rainy? What we in our area would consider the normal end of a Victoria Day Weekend. It never failed, whenever you would go camping on Victoria Day Weekend it always rained. You would sit by the fire to get as dry as you could because the tent was soaked. You took advantage of whatever sun you got. On average 2 of 3 days rained.

When I used to coach baseball, this was the weekend we loved. It was always crappy, but, it was also the first major tournament of the season. We usually played at Huron East for their tourney, and spent a lot of time going home to dry uniforms, and spent time sitting in the arena to keep warm. Oh, the memories of wet socks and uniforms. In both cases, baseball and camping that hot shower when you got home was one you didn’t want to get out of.

One thing for certain, the end of the day on Monday was always when the sun came out, to tease us with what might have been. So,  here is Monday, Monday by The Mamas and The Papas, Denny Doherty, John Phillips, Cass Elliot and Michelle Phillips.
